Butt Really? Environmental Impact Research
A seminar on ‘The Environmental Impacts of Cigarettes’ was recently held in Washington D.C. The seminar, a Warner Series Lecture in observance of Earth Day 2011, was hosted by Legacy – for Longer Healthier Lives.
The research findings have been published in a special supplement of the Journal, Tobacco Control May 2011, Volume 20 Suppl 1. Topics covered include the environmental impacts of filters; industry responsibility and product stewardship; butt waste in urban environments and butt consumption by humans and animals.
